JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented and experienced Developer to join our team in Minneapolis, MN for a 6-month contract. This role involves working with a dynamic team to support multiple platforms and develop robust and scalable systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Senior Developer/Engineer supporting multiple platforms.
  • Develop and gain insight into application architecture.
  • Translate abstract architecture into concrete design and influence implementation.
  • Apply appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems.
  • Provide feedback on software designs and implementations.
  • Assist in triaging operational issues and eliminating repeat occurrences.
  • Understand and work independently with the architecture.

Skills

  • Proficient in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with REST, Junit 5, and Kotest frameworks.
  • Knowledge of caching solutions like Redis.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Elastic Search databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Drone or similar.
  • Understanding of distributed event streaming platforms like Kafka.
  • Knowledge of log aggregation tools like Logstash and Kibana.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic understanding of network & server infrastructure and digital media in the retail domain.
  • Basic understanding of security in coding, using certificates, and secure design.
  • Experience with Video Content Management Solutions, API Integrations, and Server management.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Kafka.
