JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented Apparel Technical Designer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the technical design process and ensure the highest quality standards in garment fit and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the technical design process from development to final fit, ensuring alignment with established quality standards.
  • Analyze and evaluate garments to develop accurate fit specifications and communicate these to vendors and factories.
  • Make necessary adjustments with factories to maintain the integrity of design-approved prototypes while monitoring quality and cost specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and feedback on fit and design improvements.
  • Direct and mentor Assistant or Associate Technical Designers as needed.

Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in technical design, particularly in apparel categories such as intimates, sports, and women's wear.
  • Proficiency in technical design software, including Excel, Illustrator, and Flex PLM.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction and fit analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey fit specifications and collaborate with teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in retail, fashion, or eCommerce environments.
  • Familiarity with creating detailed fit comments and tech packs.
  • Background in leading fittings and providing constructive feedback.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
