Responsibilities
- Support and maintain SCADA and EMS applications, ensuring smooth operations and system integrity.
- Gather and analyze client business requirements to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Configure systems and troubleshoot problems related to real-time technology and operations.
- Act as a liaison and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EMS applications, facilitating communication between business partners and IT teams.
- Assist in configuring, implementing, and supporting interfaces for EMS applications with existing enterprise systems.
- Participate in project management activities, ensuring timely delivery of projects and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Engage in continuous learning and skill development to stay ahead of industry trends and challenges.
Skills
- Experience with ICCP, RTU, and Reliance Application (XA-21).
- Proficiency in working with Electric SCADA Systems and Real-Time Data Broadcasting.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, automation, and control systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, PowerShell, Python, VB, PERL, Linux, or similar.
- Ability to build and develop HMI screens and modify database points.
- Experience with regulated support models like NERC-CIP and change management processes and tools (ServiceNow).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Preferred Skills
- Direct experience with TSM, AGC/GDC, Time & Frequency, Sequential Control, SOE/Alarm management, ICCP, RTU, Data Broadcast, Historian PI, and Reliance Application (XA-21).
- Excellent analytical skills and a positive mindset to handle day-to-day application and operation issues.
- Experience with custom scripts and integrations using Python, PERL, VB, SQL, etc.
- Experience supporting Linux environments.
- Proficiency in vendor and stakeholder engagement and effective communication.
