JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join their team. This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about cloud technologies, cost optimization, and data analysis.

Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a FinOps engineer or as a software engineer with significant cost optimization projects.
- At least 4 years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies.
- Excellent collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical partners.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze large volumes of data.
- Familiarity with AWS tools such as Cost Explorer, Cost Optimization Hub & Compute Optimizer.
- Experience creating visual reports using Power BI or a similar analytics tool.
- Data analysis coding/scripting experience with Python, SQL, and API Integrations.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building QuickSight dashboards.
- Proven proficiency in developing data-driven insights to support decision making.
- Familiarity with third-party cloud cost optimization tools.
- Cloud FinOps Automation experience.

Responsibilities:
- Manage data and processes in third-party and internally developed cost management tools.
- Investigate and implement cost-saving measures, including resource optimization and efficient usage practices.
- Create and present educational documentation and training materials.
- Conduct working sessions with finance, operations, and engineering teams to produce budgets and forecasts.
- Provide recommendations on implementing FinOps practices and methodologies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to drive optimization efforts, with an Architecture perspective.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Produce presentations on initiatives, statuses, and other topics as needed.
