JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking a dedicated Java Developer to join their team.



Work arrangements are flexible, with options for hybrid or remote work. However, all contractors are required to be on-site for three business days during their first week, with travel expenses covered by our client.



As a Java Developer, you will:

- Assist in transitioning from a traditional data center to AWS Cloud
- Code, debug, test, deploy, support, and document moderately to highly complex application software
- Analyze software and recommend and implement solutions
- Incorporate security and other relevant system controls into solutions
- Adhere to bank and system software development methodologies and standards
- Comply with SAFR, DLP, Privacy, and audit requirements
- Ensure secure coding, contingency, and deployment methodologies are in place upon software implementation



The ideal candidate will have:
- Moderately to highly complex analytical skills
- Ability to perform independent research
- Experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions
- Proficiency in AWS Services such as ECS, Fargate, RDS, Lambda, S3, SQS
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Technical skills in Java, Angular, and Oracle SQL
- Experience with JBehave and/or Cucumber testing frameworks
- Strong understanding of Java/J2EE concepts, object-oriented design, and development
- Proficiency with test-driven development
- Experience with continuous integration & deployment
- Knowledge of API development and best practices
