As a Staff Network Engineer, you will provide advanced technical leadership for complex project work. You will also work with various teams to gather requirements, create specifications, and design solutions for 5G wireless network projects. The position would suit someone with practical experience in LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, DMVPN, VPN, and high-availability/multipath/redundant routers, switches and firewalls in a large 5g wireless provider network environment.

In your first few weeks in this Network Engineer role, you can expect to:

  • Provide advanced technical direction and leadership to the junior members of the 5G wireless network engineering team
  • Provide hands-on implementation and ongoing care and maintenance for network projects
  • Develop implementations in a lab environment to prove design specifications according to a test and validation plan
  • Maintain daily operational responsibility for the reliability of the network
  • Monitor ongoing availability of network services and processes via tools such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure applications and Solarwinds Orion.

  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco routers and switches (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS)
  • Experience with network configuration automation (Scripting with Pearl/Python/Bash), SD-Access, and DNA Center
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure.
