JOB DESCRIPTION

Horizontal Talent is looking for a contract Principal Product Marketing Manager to support our client's go-to-market strategy and planning for new features while a permanent team member is on parental leave. This temporary Principal Marketing Manager role is based in Seattle and offers an attractive pay rate. The ideal candidate is local to Seattle and open to going onsite 1-2x/week to collaborate with the team. 

 

As a Principal Product Marketing Manager, you will collaborate across our Consumer Product, Business Management, Legal, Finance, and Marketing teams, bringing two specific new features of the company's anchor money-sending product to market. We are looking for someone who has worked on complex programs that span across multiple countries and languages.

 

During your first few weeks in this Product Marketing Manager role, you can expect to begin work on some of the following:

  • Manage two major in-flight go-to-market projects through to completion, providing status updates and learnings to leadership and supporting decision-making
  • Develop expertise in the target customers, who they are, how they solve their jobs to be done, and their key considerations when choosing a solution
  • Analyze competitor offerings and identify the unique positioning and value proposition of the new features and updates
  • Develop and plan marketing strategies

 

 

The ideal candidate for this Principal Product Marketing Manager position will have 6+ years of marketing experience, including bringing to market new products and features for a data-driven consumer product company. Bonus for experience in fintech, payments, other financial services, or international experience. Additional qualifications include:

  • Program management experience, where you collaborated effectively with cross-functional teams, made complex trade-off decisions, and managed both short- and long-term projects during all life stages, from conception to completion
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling way
  • Creative thinker with a customer-centric mindset
  • Excellent analytical skills, with an aptitude for understanding consumer behavior and market dynamics
  • Master's degree in business or marketing preferred, or equivalent experience
