- The Business Systems Analyst supports the goals of the operational business systems and processes within Allianz Investment Management.
- The position applies investment systems knowledge to manage investment-related projects, working closely with vendors, IT, and business leaders.
- The position also provides System Analysis and collaborates with AIM systems users to drive changes in automation, which includes redesigning systems and processes.
- Scope excludes the Hedging area.
- System Development: Utilize programming expertise to develop new and/or changes to automated processes. Translate business requirements into automated production quality code or develop efficient user interfaces to support daily operational flows for GA assets and data management. Technically represent AIM GA Operations when interacting with vendors or asset managers when discussing new data flows or implementing new data transmission methods (ex. SFTP file delivery). Responsive and creative problem solver able to diagnose systems issues effectively and present changes solutions with a sense of urgency. Support the daily run state of AIM GA Operations by participating in daily run tasks. Adhere to project delivery standards and timelines.
- Business Application Expert: Establish relationships with business leaders to determine optimal solutions for complex business needs. Support the implementation of reengineered and integrated business processes to meet the needs of internal clients. Work with key stakeholders to make decisions and ensure they are aligned with Business Unit and Business System objectives. Learns and provides support of the Investment systems data to key parties. Have knowledge of a variety of investment types, including fixed income, mortgages, and alternative assets.
- 7+ years’ experience required: Relevant technical and business work experience (Investment systems knowledge)
- 3+ years’ experience preferred: Technical experience or support of: PAM investment accounting system, Bloomberg AIM/POMS, Black Rock’s Aladdin System
- Experience in writing production code for critical business systems (C#/.NET and/or MS SQL preferred)
- Four-year degree required: Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or another related field.
