The Sr. UI/UX designer will bring empathy for consumers to uncover opportunities and design simple and delightful experiences that meet their needs, achieve business goals and position as the trusted health plan of choice.
This position translates insights into user flows, prototypes, sitemaps, wireframes and visual designs. It also ensures we consistently deliver intuitive experiences that work well for all users and align with our brand.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned digital experience champion and an advocate for best practices and standards.
Areas of responsibility
Maintain and evolve our design pattern library and Sketch library assets as well as help define UI/UX best practices while keeping accessibility in mind along the way.
Create user-centered wireframes, flow diagrams, prototypes, etc., to identify opportunities, communicate, and deliver design ideas and solutions for our digital experiences.
Partner with our Digital Operations and Content & Site Management teams to detail needs, implement, and evolve our Sitecore platform patterns and components for our consumer-facing website(s).
Work collaboratively with our product and marketing teams to design, test and optimize solutions that meet both consumer and business needs. This could be for shoppers, members, providers, employers, or brokers.
Work with developers to support the implementation of UI/UX principles and best practices across our digital platforms that meet our brand expectations.
Work in an Agile environment, define and advocate for user needs and collaborate on deliverables.
Identify testing opportunities and measures of success for experience deliverables to demonstrate their value and promote continual improvement.
Participate in user research and apply learnings to optimize designs.
Bachelor’s degree or greater
5+ years relevant digital experience (and a balanced background in UX and UI)
1+ years healthcare industry experience
Experience working in Agile
Strong portfolio showcasing user-centric approach, ability to design for different audiences, devices and channels in a way that supports business goals.
Skills and Abilities
Experienced in using design, wire-framing and prototyping tools like Sketch
Experienced in using and contributing to design systems
Experienced in designing for both web and mobile, considering user needs across channels
Familiar with current WCAG 2.x AA guidelines and their application to experience design
Ability to translate complex interactions and processes into simple, intuitive experiences
Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
Flexible to changing business and creative requirements
