Position Summary:
The Training and Development Specialist is a key delivery partner in the program that will assess and develop employee-focused training content and knowledge artifacts. The Training and Development Specialist will leverage diverse mediums and tools to create and implement effective training content and create articles for sustained knowledge.Summary of Responsibilities:
Working within our established knowledge management framework, the Training and Development Specialist will develop meaningful and practical knowledge and training artifacts for our end users. APi leverages Scribe to record end-user step-by-step instructions. The Training and Development Specialist deploys various tactics, such as reviewing meeting minutes, attending workshops, and capturing processes from Operating Companies to transform data into relatable and usable knowledge for our end users. All content and deliverables will be leveraged for future reuse.Skill Set Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
- Ability to look at situations from several viewpoints to seek solutions and improvements
- Beneficial if they have COINS experience or, more importantly, ERP training content development experience in various functional areas (AR, AP, Finance, HR, etc…)
- Previous experience Scribe tool is preferred
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
- Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, quick reference guides, training visuals, and course materials.
- Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers.
- Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers’ needs to maintain or improve job skills.
- Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats, including group discussions, lectures, simulations, and recorded videos.
- Evaluates knowledge and training material effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Experience You Will Bring:
- Experience creating training and knowledge materials for large, complex ERP projects across multiple personas and teams.
- Training and content development approaches based on personas and unique locations.
- Development of exemplary training documents, visuals, and guides for sustained training programs post-implementation.
- Excellent analytical skills and aptitude for critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong character, ethics, commitment, and reliability
- 5+ Years of experience working in an IT environment independently and in teams (including remote and global delivery models).
