Responsibilities:
• Managing and socializing a product backlog.
• Defining and prioritizing backlog requirements for future product development.
• Working directly with the development team to clarify requirements.
• Working with cross functional teams.
• Balancing technical constraints and a differentiated product.
• Applying communication & influencing skills.
• Ensures user stories are “ready” for development to start work.
• Ensures each story has the correct acceptance criteria.
• Gathers, manages, and prioritizes the product backlog.
• Promotes close collaboration with the development team.
• Has technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise.
• Tracks progress towards the release of a product.
• Works with a cross-functional team in planning a product release.
• Advocates on behalf of the customer for the development team.
• Prioritizes defect or bug resolution.
• Collaborates with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
• Engages in all stages of product creation including definition, design, development, and deployment.
• Monitors and evaluates product progress at each stage of the process.
• Liaisons with the product team and end-users to deliver updates.
• Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints.
Skills:
• Experience developing mobile app and / or web products required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years in a Product Owner (or similar) role required.
• Experience working with a Scrum team in an Agile environment required.
• Experience in Healthcare preferred.
• Working knowledge of product development architecture.
• Proficiency in the use of analytic tools.
• Ability to prioritize effectively.
• Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals.
• Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting needs of stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
