Projects the candidate will be working on:                                                                 
  • Software engineer for BizTalk application development in support of CPBO-approved projects in-flight for 2023, including the WellMed-Houston HIE Connections, eCW/Healow upgrade, and Walmart FL/GA projects.
Team and Team size:
  • Individual will work as part of WellMed's Data Services team supporting integration projects under manager John Micheletti, consisting of 2 analysts and 5 developers.
Top Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes, develops, and implements computer application enhancements for end users.
  • Performs all tasks in the development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, and testing.
  • Utilizes available programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation
  • Supports existing applications including developing fixes as necessary and providing support for complex issues.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Software tools/skills:
  • BizTalk (2017 or 2020), MS Visual Studio, GitHub, ServiceNow
Skills/attributes:
  • BizTalk, (2017 or 2020).
  • Experience with HL7 and X12 standard transaction formats (health care industry).
  • Design and application integration experience.
  • Knowledge in MS technologies and OS, including .Net Core, .Net Framework 4.0, C#, XML, JSON, ASP.Net Core, BizTalk 2017 or 2020, MS SQL Server 2016 or 2019, and Oracle 12c - 19c.
Nice to have:
  •  Experience with SSIS and T-SQL.
  • Experience working in Medicare, Health plan, Physician group or hospital environment.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare information exchange (HIE) technologies.
  • Experience working with service-oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Knowledge of FHIR protocols.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs.
