- This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing client business requirements to identify and solve technical problems related to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and other critical Gas Distribution and Transmission applications, including applications that support daily Gas nominations from clients and data requirements supporting billing and regulatory activities related to transmission client product usage.
- This role also contributes to technical aspects of requirement articulation, design, configuration, testing and software development and deployment for projects related to Gas technology assets.
- This role may be considered to convert to a Full-Time position within Technology Services.
- SCADA Expertise: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Gas SCADA functions, including communications between field devices and Aveva OASYS application, integrations to internal enterprise applications as well as external applications, monitoring and reporting, and other required activities.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth technical skills are required for system configuration, problem analysis, and the ability to respond to real-time operational issues. Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols, including BSAP, MODBUS, Mercor, DNP3 and MQTT.
- Relationship: Act as communications liaison and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Gas applications between business partners, IT teams that include project staff and individual contributors, application delivery support personnel, Operational Technology (OT) converged infrastructure, network and shared services teams.
? Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience, with large-scale OT projects.
- Experience with application development, deployment of COTS applications projects, and in-place upgrade projects.
- Proven experience managing requirements specification, design activities, prototype development, testing and final deployment.
- Proven experience on a project with a large number of impacted users, (i.e., at least 500 users)
- SCADA and Gas Transaction system experience
- Utility or energy industry experience
- Natural Gas business experience
- Software Development experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
