- This Sr. Project Manager is accountable for the on-time, on-budget delivery of Natural Gas Operations projects to support client’s Gas Business Unit.
- The Sr. PM is responsible for planning the work, managing a cross-functional team comprised of employees, contractors and vendors at distributed work locations, and mitigating issues and risks.
- The Sr. PM is responsible for forecasting costs, tracking actuals, and explaining variances.
- Leads the project planning effort, including the definition of the deliverables and the required delivery dates, creation of a logical work breakdown structure, definition of major project milestones, accumulation of all project cost and benefit estimates.
- Manages, prepares, and produces project management reports, timelines, budgets, and documentation. Create and manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking and calculating earned value metrics.
- Identifies risks and issues and provides effective mitigation. Monitors project activities and resolves/escalates issues as needed.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with management of a $3M project budget or greater.
- Experience with application development, deployment of COTS applications projects, and in-place upgrade projects.
- Proven experience managing requirements specification, design activities, prototype development, testing and final deployment.
- Proven vendor management experience including leading RFP’s, SOW creation, financial control, and aggressively driving vendor to meet date and budget commitments.
- Experience in managing project budget forecasts and actuals.
- Proven experience on a project with a large number of impacted users, (i.e., at least 500 users) and managing the associated change management.
- Experience with accrual-based accounting preferred
- SCADA and DCS system experience
- Utility or energy industry experience
- Natural Gas business experience
