Ideal Background:
  • Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required. The biggest requirement is a skilled Java developer that can handle the various elements in the description.
Top 3 with years of experience:
  • Java / Spring Framework 2-3 years
  • Cloud-hosted solution experience 3+ years
  • GitHub Code Branching & Management 1 year
  • Combination of required + preferred skill sets; prior experience in high-transaction real-time transaction processing; prior experience developing API’s; health-care payor experience
Team and Team size:
  • These candidates will be part of a new scrum team, consisting of 5 – 6 developers plus a scrum master and product owner. They will be part of a team supporting PBM Operations Software Engineering which consists of 300+ developers between US and India
Primary Responsibilities:
  • This resource will assist in the development of multiple user interfaces, backend services, APIs, and potential batch load solutions being built/transformed for hosting on cloud infrastructure across multiple network zones and multiple data centers.
  • Responsibilities include design, documentation and coding, creation of automated unit tests, participation in user story/requirements refinement, development and delivery using continuous improvement/continuous delivery (CI/CD) software engineering principles.
Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 4+ years coding experience
  • Typescript / React
  • Java / Spring
  • Spring Boot
  • SQL
  • Cloud-hosted solution experience
  • GitHub Code Branching & Management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Kubernetes and Docker
  • DB2 database
  • JUnit automated testing
  • Logging & Monitoring tools, e.g., Elastic APM, Splunk, Zabbix
  • Jenkins Build & Deployment Pipelines
  • JFrog Artifactory
  • Authorization frameworks, i.e., OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect
