Projects the candidate will be working on:                                                                 
  • Design System team on Clinical Manager Platform. OCM is a strategic,?enterprise clinical platform?across UHC and  that?leverages shared technology and services.?
  • As an integrated, cloud native, scalable technology platform, OCM?delivers seamless end-to-end clinical solutions?that are configurable, resilient and quick to build while?reducing overall enterprise technology costs.
  • You will collaborate closely with your product and dev partners in solving problems for our users using human centered design principles.
  • We're combining Design and UX with leading-edge technologies to re-invent healthcare!

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Hands-on foundational research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping and customer research - taking problems from concept to implementation, quickly and iteratively.
  • Partner with design system team to ensure reusability and contribute to the design system ecosystem to improve and evolve design patterns.
  • Manage and translate end user research, facilitate structured brainstorming and ideation techniques, oversee rapid prototyping.
  • Translate business strategies into user experiences, which may include persona development, workflow planning, wireframes, and low fidelity sketches.
  • Deeply understand the needs, pain points, behaviors, emotions and journeys of users in the context of the digital and clinical experience.
  • Identify and coach other team members on user experience design.
  • Quantitative/qualitative customer research and experimentation to deliver the best experiences
  • Ability to successfully communicate and collaborate across a variety of stakeholders, including researchers, product managers, engineers as well as execs and customers
  • Lead and coach other designers and cross functional team members on how to apply human centered design principles to solving business and users problems.
  • Breakdown experience silos by collaborating with designers on other product teams to create a unified vision.
  • Monitor internal and external UX trends and identify areas for further exploration/strategic thinking.
  • Serve as the UX design lead on multiple projects within the portfolio to ensure design and technical teams align to the broader UX experience and brand strategy.
  • Serve as a design system advocate to conduct reviews and provide guidance to federated design teams.
  • Partner with design system team to ensure reusability and contribute to the design system to improve and evolve design patterns.
  • Hands-on with interaction design, visual design, persona development, prototyping and customer research - taking problems from concept to implementation, quickly and iteratively.
  • Deeply understand the needs, pain points, behaviors, emotions and journeys of users in the context of the digital and clinical experience.
  • Conduct quantitative/qualitative customer research and experimentation to deliver the best experiences.
  • Manage and translate end user research, facilitate structured brainstorming and ideation techniques, oversee rapid prototyping.
  • Ability to successfully communicate and collaborate across a variety of stakeholders, including researchers, product managers, engineers as well as execs and customers.
  • Plan and facilitate design sprints and design thinking workshops.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in User Experience Design and research.
  • Human-centered / design thinking experience or training
  • Understands agile / lean UX frameworks
  • Able to share a portfolio of work demonstrating your human centered approach and design thinking skills.
  • Have experience leading UX research and usability testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience designing data-heavy software, healthcare experience a plus
  • Experience with Figma, Sketch + Axure libraries
  • Service design and creative workshop experience
  • Experience working in large, highly-matrixed corporation
  • Self-starter whos comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Experience working with design systems
  • Visual design expertise.
  • Experience working as a UX lead or UX manager.
