- Resource will Develop/Enhance/Manage Health Benefits Accounts Services as part of Core Engineering Team.
- Hands on Developer with strong Java background. On call support. Experience with Oracle and / or MySQL/Mongo databases, Agile development experience.
- Spring Boot, Java, Microservices, Spring Batch
- Core Engineering: 5 Developers, 2 QA’s.
- Performing in an agile scrum team and building, unit testing, and deployment of the software.
- Solves complex problems and/or conducts complex analysis and ensures quality of requirements for solutions development & evaluates and drives new project development
- Maintains knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products related to architectural solutions & current domains and strategic roadmaps ensuring solutions are aligned with business and IT goals and objectives
- Develops and documents and incorporates software and system architecture into conceptual designs to ensure scalability/applicability/quality/comprehensiveness
- Ensures traceability between solution summary and applicable requirements
- Identify solutions to non-standard requests/ problems and anticipates future business models/needs and ensures inclusion in business requirements
- Develops technical specifications/design documents as defined in application/system designs and are clearly and comprehensively documented, understood and traceable to business requirements
- Ensures compatibility with application code standards
- Develops application/system code as defined in technical specifications & creates and executes unit test plans and documents results
- Conducts all required reviews (e.g., code reviews, test plan reviews) & reviews and troubleshoots potential coding issues
- Demonstrates clear understanding of how the application may be impacted in all aspects of the testing process (e.g., regression testing) and analyzes/fixes defects identified in testing; including root cause analysis
- Ensures organized source code control and release management and supports all phases of the SDLC and deploys code to higher environments and collaborates with other in support of the deployment plan
- Partner with DevOps teams on resolving code defects, and continuous improvement of the code
- Provide on call support for Production issues
- 10+ years of experience as a Java developer
- Solid technical skills and background needed to support the oversight of development and management of complex multi-platform environments
- Experience with Oracle and / or MySQL/Mongo databases
- Experience with Event Streaming
- Solid background in applications development methodologies, SDLC and other IT industry standards and engineering best practices
- Agile development experience
- Knowledge and understanding of design patterns and concepts
- Must demonstrate experience in participating in system application design, process modeling, business value analysis and business process design and in developing and writing clear functional/technical business requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree, and/or related functional area or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of proven success in leading/supporting programs/projects through the entire life cycle
- 5+ years of development experience with (Java 8 +, Spring Boot, Angular, React, etc.) and web technologies
- Self-motivated, self-directed, team oriented, responsible, and reliable, with a positive attitude and a proactive style
- Ability to work in a highly variable, virtual and matrixed environment
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to communicate ideas and analysis in a clear and concise fashion to clients, colleagues
- Experience with AWS, Kafka, AKKA, Kubernetes, Lambda, Mongo
- Experience with cloud solutions
- Familiar with Docker and OpenShift technologies using Jenkins CI/CD pipeline as a code
- Knowledge of Java (1.6), JMS along with latest Java is a plus
- How many rounds? How technical will the interviews be?) Likely 2 rounds of video interviews, which will be very technical
