Our client, one of the world's largest apparel, footwear and accessories companies, is looking for a mid-level UX Researcher. The Researcher will work on projects across a broad gamut of touchpoints from web, to mobile, to store, to call center. The research team is driving a customer-first mindset within the organization with a consumer-centric design methodology focused on big ideas and rapid iteration. Researchers work closely with the product owners, developers, brand partners, and the design team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide research and insights around essential trends surrounding consumer trends, brand goals, and the larger technical ecosystem driving the brand vision.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to understand customer insights that drive great UX.
- Support or perform interviews with key business and technical stakeholders to understand their vision and goals.
- Support the creation and execution of design thinking workshops, co-creation, and whiteboarding exercises to solicit input, create high level roadmaps, and build consensus across multiple stakeholders.
- Synthesize feedback into meaningful insights with observations, implications, and recommendations.
- Help define and design prototypes to illustrate concepts.
- Powerful impulse to improve existing designs, invent new experiences, and perform better than our competition
- Adapt work style depending on audience to influence consumer centric design decisions
- Growth mindset and enjoy learning and growing your knowledgebase and skills.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years of UX experience including expertise in, and exposure to a subset of the following activities: (in order of preference)
- User journey mapping
- Interaction design (research & design for shaping the experience of the product)
- Competitive analysis, market research, trends insights
- Usability Testing (unmoderated or moderated)
- Information architecture
- Ecomm, retail experience preferred.
- 2 - 5+ years on agile and/or Lean UX teams delivering value in digital products
- 2 - 5+ years track record conducting/using research to support evidence-focused design decisions
- Working with Analytics partners and quantitative software to understand the why
- Work samples, preferably ones that show how you think, vs perfect polished work – in-flight is good
- In addition, please provide examples of documentation style
- Prior experience working with large development teams
- Prior experience working with larger design teams in a highly collaborative manner
- Prior experience with client management
- Familiarity with commonly used tools in design, including:
- Sketch/Abstract
- Invision
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Mural/Miro (preferred, not required)
- Jira & Confluence (preferred, not required)
- ContentSquare, Google / Adobe Analytics (preferred, not required)
- Travel by air and overnight, as required 10% amount of time.
