Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree. In lieu of a degree must have a comparable number of years of practical experience.
  • 7+ years working with Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL Server with heavy involvement in architecting and developing web services and API sites using C# and MVC.
Primary Skills/ Requirements   
  • Extensive experience of at least one of the .NET languages (C#, VB.NET) using Object Oriented and Service Oriented Design Patterns
  • In depth knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server database design and creating complex stored procedures and functions
  • Proficiency in building web-based applications, including web services and APIs using vast knowledge of Restful API design patterns
  • Significant experience in Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience in application architecture to uphold coding standards and best practices
  • Keen understanding of adherence to strict security standards
  • Extensive knowledge of source control using branching and merging
  • Established in guidance for other team members regarding new development efforts, including code reviews
  • Extensive experience in core concepts: HTTPS, SSL/TLS, REST, MVC, Web API, Javascript
  • Strong database related knowledge: SQL Server admin, XML, JSON, RPC
  • Tools: Visual Studio, SSMS, Jira, Confluence
  • Competence in troubleshooting performance issues and debugging code
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication, teamwork, influencing, conflict resolution, problem solving, decision-making
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate support for our payment processing systems
Preference given to those with the following skills/ knowledge:
  • Knowledge and experience working with payment processing and NACHA
  • Experience with Always On encryption
  • Experience in Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Possesses a passion for process improvement
  • Strong attention to detail
