Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead/provide day-to-day support and maintenance activities for DBA/Integration/Middleware teams
  • Conduct Incident/defect prioritization meetings with IT/Business
  • Review incident/defect inflow for applications in the portfolio and ensure assignment to appropriate teams
  • Manage Incident/defect backlog and drive for closure
  • Drive triage for high visibility incidents and communicate updates to IT and Business leaders
  • Provide work direction to vendor teams based on Incident prioritization
  • Conduct root cause analysis on test environment related issues/defects and develop corrective/preventive actions
  • Lead productivity improvement programs and preventive maintenance initiatives
  • Ensure the availability of test environments
  • Transform DBA support with next gen data and cloud technologies such as Kafka and PostgreSQL
  • Create / Lead database maintenance procedures and backup/restore methods to protect the enterprise data; create innovative strategies and best practices to replicate the data to provide high availability
  • Identify and drive improvements for SLA performance
  • Provide support to Vendor teams to schedule change request, enhancements, patches, etc.
  • Provide support for internal audits
  • Provide support for disaster recovery testing initiatives
  • Facilitate weekly/monthly presentations to walkthrough the health (reliability, availability) of the application
