Position Summary:
  • This Sr. Business Analyst is accountable for gathering the business, technical and data requirements for Agile and waterfall teams supporting client's enterprise GIS.
  • The Sr. BA is responsible for gathering requirements, defining “as is” and “to be” Business processes, producing use cases, user stories, test cases and other documentation.
Summary of Responsibilities:
  • The Sr. Business Analyst facilitates the creation and refinement of user stories and documents detailed acceptance criteria for complex IT initiatives; collaborates with team members to ensure users stories and story artifacts meet the needs of all team members, Product Owner and key stakeholders; collaborates with others who are responsible for the application and database design, testing, and implementation of solutions; works with Product Owner and key stakeholders to ensure the solution meet acceptance criteria.
Skill Set Requirements:
  •  Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
  •  Proven experience collecting and managing Business needs and requirements in both waterfall and Agile environments.
  •  Proven success documenting Business needs and requirements with a diverse group of stakeholders and delivering well written use cases and/or user stories that can be tied directly to design and test documents.
  •  Ability to review design documentation and test cases to ensure alignment and coverage of all requirements.
  •  Ability to collect, manage and quantify requirement change requests.
  •  Proven experience on a project with a large number of impacted users, (i.e., at least 200 users).
  •  Direct experience as a BA at a Utility, on software upgrade projects or with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) related projects is preferred.
