The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain the automation framework for testing on internally and vendor developed applications, with an eye towards development of both web and service based technology while measuring product fitness against software development.
The QA Automation Engineer works with the QA Manager to plan the testing approach and then execute the plan. Successful candidates should possess excellent communication skills, be methodical in their testing process, and pay close attention to detail. The candidate should be comfortable working within different software development methodologies to include Agile and Waterfall. 
 
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
•    Design, develop, and maintain automated test systems and framework following industry best practices
•    Execute test cases on multiple environments while analyzing and tracking results
•    Maintain and update automated test systems as functionality changes following code updates, database upgrades, configuration changes, and infrastructure modifications and upgrades
•    Develop automation scripts for regression testing with various data sources and environment variables while having identified reusable user-defined functions
•    Review functional and design documents to ensure full understanding of deliverables and provide feedback
•    Validate applications against specifications, using documented test procedures, report defects using JIRA
•    Perform smoke, regression, integration, and release testing for applications; assist with User Acceptance Testing, as needed.
•    Collect and report metrics from test runs
•    Assist with performance benchmarking of applications and creation of test data to support testing efforts
•    Collaborate with software developers to incorporate automation into unit and integration efforts
•    Engage in full life cycle of testing and Quality Assurance practices, in multiple types of project methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, while collaborating with other team members, software developers, and management to ensure comprehensive test coverage
•    Testing for package, custom and mobile applications
•    Works on multiple high priority projects concurrently
•    Stay up-to-date on software application testing tools and best practices
•    Performs other duties as assigned
•    Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe’s Policies and Procedures
 
Qualifications:
•    Performs work under minimal supervision
•    Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
•    Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter
•    May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
•    Comprehensive knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices
•    Working knowledge and experience testing:
o    Manual and automated testing
o    Mobile application testing
o    Functional and performance testing
•    Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
•    Demonstrates accountability, thought-leadership, initiative, independence and willingness to learn
•    Strong problem-solving and judgement
•    Gaming and/or Hospitality experience preferred
•    Working knowledge of testing tools (JIRA, Selenium, SOAP UI tools desirable)
•    Working knowledge of Java and .NET desirable
•    Ability to objectively review and qualify objective data
QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience building test automation
•    Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields preferred
•    Progressive experience in developing and executing test automation framework with Selenium, C#, and JMeter
•    Strong knowledge of QA process for software development, debugging and release

•    Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields preferred
