Controls Software Engineer 
Houston, Tx - Hybrid ( 3 days office/ 2 remote )

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


- Responsible for the design, implementation, test, and documentation of functional software solutions that interfaces with controls and automation software.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, and software architecture.
- Write code using a clear concept of SOLID principles, coding development standards, and guidelines.
- Debug issues, determine root cause, and implement fixes in-house and at customer sites as required.
- Perform thorough design reviews and code reviews with team.
- Actively work with other engineers in cross-functional, cross-geographical development teams to fully understand project scope.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

- Senior level position requiring a bachelors degree in Control System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar OR 5+ years relevant experience.
- 5+ years of control engineering experience, preferably in the Energy Industry or Electrohydraulic Systems.
- 5+ years PLC programming in Structured Text on Beckhoff platforms.
- Experience in Coiled Tubing operations or automation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Some travel including international may be required 25% annually.
- Consistent computer work may require 8 or more hours working at a desk.
