The Role:

  • The Sr. Technical Project Manager is the single point of contact for non-routine to complex installation projects.
  • The position reports to the Manager Federal Programs and is an integral part of the Project Management Office (PMO).
  • The Sr. Technical Project Manager works with a team of Project Managers, Security/Network engineers, Sales, and others teams for meeting contractual performance criteria and due dates during service delivery, and successful overall project completion.

The Main Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Technical PM responsible for all aspects of the planning and execution of all technical requirements within your defined area of responsibility
  • Strong technical understanding of Cybersecurity architecture and engineering, including tools and technologies is required
  • Provide thought leadership and drive technical direction within and across the program
  • Interface with client’s senior management personnel, to include supporting briefings up to CIO/CISO level
  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and flexibly adapt to changing conditions
  • Must possess a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative requiring minimal supervision
  • Remain abreast of emerging technologies; practically apply your expertise to bring innovation to the client and program
  • Experience in the management and control of complex information technology architectures involving multiple operating systems, databases, networks, and communications subsystems, of similar size and scope especially in a managed services environment
  • Engage appropriate resources to troubleshoot and isolate problems, and develop new procedures if required
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, interface with client’s senior management personnel, including experience in presenting material to senior Government officials
  • Manage scope, schedule, cost, technical, and staffing performance and activities on major, complex projects to ensure timely and quality delivery of services to the client
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure their strict adherence to company and client standards of quality and performance
  • Ensure timely, complete, high-quality contract deliverables; ensure SLAs are met or exceeded 100% of the time
  • Optimize processes to maximize efficiencies within the team and program, including process automation and functional integration across task areas and teams
  • Ability to have technical discussions with engineers across multiple area's
  • Coordinate activities in support of program managers and teams that support the design, installation and maintenance of services
  • Track and monitor projects from initiation through completion
  • Prepare deliverables (e.g., status reports to Government, order information, open issues)
  • Analyze contracts, product and service descriptions, and network technical requirements to identify parameters required to initiate service order processing and project implementation
  • Work directly with Government representatives, engineers and program manager to develop scope of work, timeline, communication plan and all pertinent aspect of comprehensive project management
  • Ensure Government commitments and expectations, and project deliverable requirements are met
  • Identify and anticipate failures and delays based on lessons learned and previous experience
  • Ensure final documents are complete and delivered as required by the contract
  • Ensure services are completed and billed according to contractual obligations
  • Good analytical and inductive reasoning skills (ability to develop solutions and recommendations)
  • Work in a team environment
