Benefits Administrator / Associate Benefits Analyst (Contractor)

The Benefits Administrator / Associate Benefits Analyst is an analyst within the Benefits team and is responsible for day-to-day administration of Health, Welfare, Retirement &/or leave of absence , task execution & data analysis. This role also supports benefits team members in successful execution & completion of daily, weekly & monthly tasks to deliver best in class administration & employee experience.

 

Duties:

 
  1. Complete daily employee benefits enrollment processing and changes including tracking completion, reviewing for accuracy and completeness. Follow up with employees on missing or incomplete information. Review changes, partner with payroll for proper deductions and processing

  2. Manage all mail, track, complete and submit all federal, state or local forms, documents and court-order related documents (e.g., QMSCO)

  3. Support, update & audit employee records, benefits files and documentation internally &/or with vendors in accordance with federal, state, local regulations & company policies. 

  4. Create adhoc reports in response to business requests as needed

  5. Update &/or create any instructional guidance documentation that need to be updated or created (e.g., Changing beneficiaries, enrolling in benefits)

  6. Support miscellaneous document maintenance and streamlining and process improvement

  7. Build collaborative relationships across the business to support the team & various internal business partners in optimizing processes, system efficiencies, maintenance, data integrity, and reporting.

  8. Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and address needed   corrections.

  9. Manage multiple competing priorities with tight timelines.

  10. Manage highly confidential subject matter with the utmost discretion.

  11. Perform other Benefits/Total Rewards ad hoc projects as needed 

  12. Other duties as assigned



 

Requirements:

 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, HR Management, Business, or related discipline

  • Minimum of 2 years of benefits administration

  • Experience with HRIS systems, benefits administration systems, retirement platforms and payroll systems. 1+ years experience working with Workday Benefits Module required

  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Doc, Sheets, Slides); 1+ year experience with Google Sheets required

  • Exceptional attention to detail & organizational skills

  • Analytical thinking & problem solving skills. Proven analytical skills required (vlookup, pivot tables, large data audit compares)

  • Proven customer service orientation and the ability to interface with & resolve issues for all levels of employees and organization

  • Current, in-depth knowledge of federal and state requirements related, but not limited to ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, PPACA, GINA, ADA, CARES, Section 125 of the IRS and other legislation and regulations that affect the design and administration of the benefit plans

  • Commitment to driving results, including taking ownership for administration and improvement of benefits processes and programs

  • Strong proven project management skills 

  • Experience in HR Shared Services &/or outsourced environment

  • Hands on experience in large (10,000 employees+) high growth, employee focused and fast paced technology environments

  • Consultative approach and ability to collaborate, research and present recommendations to leaders

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
