Description:

  • We’re responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the application ecosystem that supports a best-in-class Nevada Market operation.

Experience:

Top Requirements:

  • 3+ years of development and testing experience in C# / .Net or .Net Core
  • 3+ years of development experience on Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Database
  • 3+ years of Database Design/Programming (Stored Procedures/Functions)

Team and Team size:

  • My team consists of 3 development teams that support our health plan operations. Managed Care Applications, Sales and Underwriting Applications, and Web and Mobile Applications.
  • In total, we are a team of 30 with 1 VP, 2 Directors, 1 Manager, and the remaining fills out with engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Solid organizational skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Design, build and deploy performant and scalable solutions by applying engineering concepts like algorithms, data structures and development best practices
  • Use best practices and experience to design, code, build, and test software solutions
  • Determine best technical solutions and document detailed design based on requirements
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
  • Work with team to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements
  • Conduct code review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality standards
  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including coding, testing, debugging and documenting programs
  • Participates in requirements gathering, program design, and database design
  • Uses technical knowledge and experience to resolve development and support issues
  • May lead and direct the work of others, including code reviews and mentoring other staff on industry best practices
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected to accomplish goals
  • Familiar with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins, GitLab or Azure DevOps
  • Use best practices and experience to design, code, build, and test software solutions
  • Determine best technical solutions and document detailed design based on requirements
  • Lead application build team for selected projects
  • Software design experience using object-oriented patterns, SOLID, and similar development principles
  • Ability to take on a complex technical problem that is not well-defined, decompose into manageable tasks, provide proper estimates, and lead/coordinate other team members to collective deliver the end solution
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work concurrently on multiple tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of development and testing experience in C# / .Net or .Net Core
  • 3+ years of development experience on Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Database
  • 3+ years of Database Design/Programming (Stored Procedures/Functions)
  • 3+ years of SDLC or DevOps/Agile experience
  • 2+ years of working experience with API REST web services
  • Experience with Front-End UI Frameworks
  • Experience with version management tools (Git, AzureDevOps, SVN, etc.)

Preferred Qualifcations:

  • Healthcare Industry Experience
  • TriZetto Facets Application experience
  • Healthcare EDI Experience
  • Reporting Tools Experience
  • Distributed server development, experience
  • Experience with Design Patterns
