Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • The responsibilities for this Software Engineering role will cover all primary development activity that ensure we produce code with high quality for our applications, products and services.
  • This position supports a critical UM application for inpatient and outpatient case management.
    • Develop and release features to support vital business functions
    • Support application availability, reliability and stability
    • Work with business to prioritize production issue resolution.

  • Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
  • Work with team to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements
  • Work with business to prioritize production issue resolution
  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including coding, testing, debugging and documenting programs
  • Participates in requirements gathering, and program design
  • Relies on management and leadership from Sr. Engineers to plan and accomplish goals
  • The Software Engineer performs a variety of complicated tasks including production support and troubleshooting
  • Uses technical knowledge and experience to resolve development and support issues
  • Meeting requirements, Development Quality, Development task delivered on time and within schedule
  • Must be able to follow directions and work within a team environment
  • Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA

Top Requirements:

  • 3+ years of development and testing experience in C# / .Net programming language
  • 3+ years ASP.NET C#, .Net Framework, .Net Core, Web API
  • 3+ years HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery

Team and Team size:

  • 6 FTE software developers and 3 contractors
  • All software developers

Top Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with existing web applications, including the presentation layer, support Web API services, and business logic.
  • Take on role to support and maintain our web applications, including helping clients with user experience as well as managing backend infrastructure.
  • Become familiar with the team, our services, and development process.
  • Able to build and maintain Web APIs (C# - .NetFramework and .NetCore) and highly secure web applications.

Skills/attributes Required

  • Undergraduate Degree or 4+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of development and testing experience in C# / .Net programming language
  • 3+ years ASP.NET C#, .Net Framework, .Net Core, Web API
  • 3+ years of SDLC experience / agile SDLC experience
  • Experience with programming IDE applications (Visual Studio or similar)
  • Experience with version management tools (TFS / AzureDevOps, SVN, Git, etc.)

Skills/attributes Preferred

  • 3+ years HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery
  • 2+ years Database Design/Programming (Stored Procedures), T-SQL
  • Distributed server development
  • Knowledge and experience with Design Patterns
