Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define and document business processes and project features/requirements
  • Consult with business departments to identify requirements
  • Model business processes (current "as is" and future "to be")
  • Document business requirements in compliance with appropriate STS policies and procedures
  • Evaluate proposed system changes for downstream system and/or business process / departmental impacts
  • Prioritize and track issues to resolution or escalate to the Project Manager if appropriate
  • Work with the business to identify minimum system/application performance expectations and service levels
  • Perform quality assurance application testing for new applications/systems and enhancements to existing applications / systems
  • Create Executable Requirements "XRs" and/or test plans in accordance with business requirements
  • Conduct functional and performance testing. This includes application and system (end to end) testing
  • Document test results (defect tracking) using the designated tools, repositories and procedures
  • Acquire and maintain working knowledge of databases, system integration points and architecture that support the application
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more application areas
  • Analyze and inspect data before, during and after testing in all systems and supporting applications as appropriate
  • Provide required problem/issue, status and time reporting

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years Business Analyst / Quality Assurance Analyst experience
  • Experience working in an Agile scrum-based environment
  • Testing experience
  • Requires 4 yrs or more of Excel experience (pivot tables, Vlookup, advanced formulas, conditional formatting, data tables, etc.)
  • Process Mapping using Visio (or similar tool)
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions/requirements gathering facilitation experience
  • Use Case / User Story development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and technical documentation
  • Detail oriented, with strong organizational, planning, prioritization and analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience balancing multiple tasks with competing priorities across multiple projects
  • Experience working with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
