We’re looking for someone to join the Delivery Management team to provide expertise in the implementation of small to large and enterprise solutions including transformational programs while acting as a conduit between multiple groups from PMO/Vendor/App Teams and the business. To that end you will help drive end-to-end technical, collaborate across the business, operations, vendor and technology organizations in support of transforming the technology required to grow the business.

You’ll work with local and global Investments IT team, other technical teams and vendors on a wide and varied range of issues, deliverables and projects. Your approach will change based on the activity from analysis, task management, technical troubleshooting and implementation. This will be challenging but ultimately a huge positive in gaining vast knowledge, experience and growth. Linked to this, you will need a strong understanding of software development life cycles and strategic planning, experience in software evaluation and integration. An ability breaking down business processes into technology requirements.

You will initiate an analysis of daily operational support requests looking for opportunities to apply modern automated methods to streamline and significantly reduce labor intensive work. Where possible, collaborate with Development teams to enhance the design and implementation of applications for operational efficiencies. Your operational management approach for business applications innately leverages automated methods and you have several years’ experience using languages such as PowerShell, Perl, VBScript/WSH, cmd/bat, and Unix sh/ksh/bash, software development tools such as Git, XLR and Jenkins, and DSC tools such as CF Engine, Puppet, and Chef to scale and manage a highly efficient application support function. 

For this role you’ll need to have at least 8 years of experience delivering and supporting applications across a variety of business functions. You have hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise grade Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix environments and you are knowledgeable in multiple server-side platforms including Active Directory, SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, Exchange Server, Citrix (to name a few). You are familiar with the operation of virtualize environments, Public Cloud environments (such as Amazon Web Services/AWS and Microsoft Azure), and modern service models for delivering infrastructure and applications (such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS). You are knowledgeable in several application architectures (Client-Server, Web, Distributed/Messaging, and Cloud-Native) and the approaches that are used to maintain the availability and performance, the security, and recoverability each architectural pattern.

You believe in Agile methods for organising work. You will use perspectives and techniques of Scrum, Lean, Continuous Delivery and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). You will use aspects of these methodologies where appropriate and reasonable for the situation at hand.

You are someone who focuses on clearly understanding requirements and, with constant motivation to do things right, you are driven to find the simplest designs and implementations that could possibly work. Your approach to problem solving is logical, objective, and mindful of appropriate policies and standards which govern your work. Learning and adapting are natural parts of the approach that you value in your career.

You are an excellent communicator. Besides the fact that you are patient and always clear when speaking, you are equally clear and thoughtful in your written communication. You understand that the real secret in being a good communicator is in having the ability to be mindful of the concerns and interests of your end users and colleagues who are reading your written messages. You communicate accurately, truthfully, and professionally in a way that is respectful of other people's time. This is a highly visible role that requires an individual to establish and maintain strong relationships and communicate effectively with LOBs Leaders, Technical team Leads and the business. Comfortable in voicing his/her opinion and representing the viewpoints of others in a productive manner.

Due to the nature of working with multiple teams, you will need the ability to build formal and informal relationships and networks  within and across organizational boundaries. Lead and motivate; demonstrating empathy and knowledge of personality types. Experience with effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where this role may not directly control resources.
