JOB DESCRIPTION
The scrum master will oversee the creating and onboarding of project teams, integrating them into the organization, and ensure the teams follow approved processes, all while providing a clear vision of the product.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
• Coach Product teams in the effective application of lean-agile mindset, practices, governance, self-management, and cross-functionality.
• Coaching Product Owners/Management to align the delivery roadmap and the sprint goals with the product vision.
• Encouraging iterative and incremental release of a tangible work product through right-sized work items to create flow.
• Coach up to a maximum of 3 Scrum teams in conjunction to your organizational coaching.
• Create awareness of the value of data to justify and measure any improvements.
• Teach, Mentor, Facilitate and Coach, individuals and teams in agile mindset, practices, jobs, artifacts, and events.
• Create environments of collaboration that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts.
• Works with the Product owner to align team with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information.
• Communicates organizational impediments to leadership and clears impediments for the team.
• Facilitate events (e.g., daily-scrums, planning, retrospective, backlog refinement, reviews workshops, etc.)
• Leading, training, coaching the organization in its Scrum adoption, along with planning and advising Scrum implementations across the whole organization.

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIIONAL COMPETENCIES
• Sound understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks.
• Strong familiarity and adherence to core Agile values and principles.
• In-depth knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• A pragmatic agile expert with experience of developing teams using lean-agile practices, Scrum or Kanban as applied to Product Development and solution delivery.
• A keen interest in the financial markets with an awareness of sentiments & major market events.
• Employs a data-driven mindset to understand areas of success and areas requiring improvement.
• Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Works other IT resources to effectively source support requirements; provides input and best practice approaches to building out effective solutions.
• Knowledge of x86 and x64 architecture, operating systems, and Microsoft stack, including O365.
• Partner with peers to promote the IT strategy and organization goals.
• Astute on new and emerging technologies and technical approaches.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM)

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• A bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field. 6 years or more equivalent work experience as a scrum master, with applicable certification, may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM)
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong presentation and influencing skills when working at varying levels of the organization
• Highly collaborative working style
