Projects the candidate will be working on:
- This role supports teams delivering additional capabilities on the MBMNow platform. MBMNow platform is an evidence-based treatment, utilization management and analytics service that helps reduce medical expenses associated with a range of high cost, complex treatments.
Team and Team size:
- The application is supported by 22+ Scrum Teams globally with each Scrum Team typically consisting of a Product Owner, a Systems Analyst, 3-4 Software Developers, and 2 Quality Engineers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary IT resource for medium-size projects to large-size projects • Oversees the technologies, tools and techniques used by the team
- Ensure that development standards, security policies and procedures are adhered to
- Work with the scrum team to get projects developed and implemented
- Provide support and leadership during development sprints across multiple scrum teams
- Provide accurate and timely estimates for tasks
- Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
- Solve complex problems and/or conduct complex analyses
- Discover root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
- Work with team to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in IT field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of development and testing experience in Java
- 3+ years of experience working with relational databases
- 2+ years working with RESTful services
- 2+ years of Agile delivery experience
- 1+ years of Cloud experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare Industry experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of Spring Framework, JMS, multi-threading and XML (Xml Beans, JAXP or JAXB) is a plus
- Working experience with one or more of the following Maven, Openshift, Jenkins, Github and mySQL is a plus
- Knowledge of AngularJS or Angular is a plus
- Extensive experience in complex projects with division or company-wide scope
