Marketing & Communications Specialist I – Branding

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the Integrated Marketing & Campaigns (IMC) team to align collateral and messaging with our branding, strategic priorities and key audiences.
  • Work with the IMC Lead to develop the creative strategy and message for the Aerospace division aligned with the overall brand.
  • Support consistent branding and messaging across all communication channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop branded artwork packages for our facilities that showcase the teams’ work while consistently telling the brand story.
  • Organize and support the development of workflow systems and processes for the IMC team and MarCom.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate tasks, scheduling and deadlines for external award nomination packages and speaking engagements.
  • Work closely with and/or provide direction and support to business areas to develop, write and edit marketing materials in accordance with company standards, such as brochures, biographies and other print and digital products.
  • Coordinate, plan and staff internal and external company events.
  • Maintain required records and reports in accordance with our policies and government regulations.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need

  • BS/BA in a related field.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Excellent writing skills are a must for this position.
  • Experience working under brand guidelines.
  • Experience writing and designing marketing products.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting marketing data.
  • A creative eye for design and branding that carries through layout design, photography, videography, typography, etc.
  • Project management skills.
  • Experience and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience working with technical subject matter experts, such as engineers, researchers or scientists.
  • Ability to translate and synthesize highly-technical information into strategic marketing messages.
  • Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously, under deadline pressure with fast turn arounds.
  • Attention to detail, organized and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
  • If not familiar with industry, ability to take initiative to understand company and learn about products, capabilities and markets.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills, new products or technical knowledge; stay current on new trends, ideas, technologies.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • The following experience is preferred:
    • Experience increasing brand awareness among key target audiences.
    • Experience performing market research.
    • Experience working with marketing analytical tools and platforms.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.

In compliance in compliance with state laws and regulations related to job posting requirements, the salary range for this role is $15.00 -$115.00 per hour (hourly rates in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
