Primary Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally across multiple teams to design customer centric solutions that deliver a frictionless experience to our end users
- Work directly with product managers and engineers to ensure that design is properly applied to our products
- Actively seek to understand business requirements to develop solutions
- Create visually effective interface designs for current and future digital products
- Create innovative solutions to tough design challenges with product and lead input
- Apply consistent design patterns and create new patterns for reuse and consistency through design and code with lead input
- Collaborate with UX Manager and the Product Team on project priorities
Key Performance Indicators:
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
- Effectiveness tied directly to department / team metrics
- Customer and business partner evaluation
- User feedback and usability metrics improvements
- Quick iterations on concepts for user testing
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of UI/UX design experience, including web and mobile applications
- In-house design experience
- Must have relevant portfolio to highlight design case studies
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient in UX design process: relevant research (competitor analysis, best practices), creating personas, use cases, user flows, rapid prototyping, wireframing, visually stunning mockups.
- Experience contributing to or creating design systems
- Familiarity with Service Design and designing enterprise solutions
- Experience with Material Design or Human
- End-to-end Product Design experience
- Ability to incorporate design processes into agile development cycles
- Basic familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and how to design for users with varying abilities
- Comfortable presenting work and incorporating feedback as part of an iterative design process
- Ability to correctly apply the proper design patterns to solve complex problems
- Expert in one or more of the following tools (Figma, Sketch, or XD)
Working Conditions:
- Remote, prefer within travel of Minneapolis HQ but not required
