The Management Supervisor (MS) leads and oversees day-to-day client business for the Idea Management team. Responsibilities include: maintain relations with senior clients, supervise the strategic aspects of clients’ business, provide thought leadership and direction for projects, and oversee creative campaigns. Supervise the team AS and AEs on Product related production work. Must be able to focus on the business needs of the client, and seek and articulate agency perspective on recommended solutions that contribute to effective ideas that support the clients’ goals.
Client Management:
• Grow and develop the designated business.
• Build trust with and advise clients, providing a range of options to achieve client business and marketing objectives.
• Manage and effectively communicate client expectations for all initiatives.
• Contact and develop relationships with designated senior-level and mid-level clients.
• Supervise "day-to-day'' designated client initiatives, including, but not limited to, business-building, strategy, media and creative projects.
• Play an essential role in major presentations to clients, including annual planning and selling creative, and integrated campaign initiatives.
• Provide guidance to clients, assisting them with all aspects of their marketing and advertising.
• Ability to engage with clients and resolve difficult business issues.
Agency Leadership:
• Ability to work autonomously and/or lead 1- to 2-junior-level account team members, including training, coaching and inspiring them toward successful outcomes. This person must be highly-organized, with a charismatic and adaptable communication style. Ability to lead clients as strategic advisor, fostering appetite for, and approval of, game-changing programs and ideas.
Business Impact:
• Develop all assignment briefs in partnership with strategic planning.
• Take responsibility for overall client budgets.
• Define project parameters and client needs.
• Manage client expectations regarding timing, schedules and process.
• Gather initial project-timing feasibility evaluation (through PM).
Communication and Integration Skills:
• Take responsibility for overall communication to the client and of the client's business, providing insight to agency team members regarding client business or project-specific needs.
• Collaborate regarding projects' strategic direction and integration.
• Consult with appropriate stakeholders and subject-matter experts in the idea development process.
• Recap client meetings in writing.
• Champion agency process to ensure quality of work.
• Manage client contract, fees and compensation.
Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years in advertising experience or relevant communications role(s). Finance background a plus but not required
