What You’ll Do

  • Work with the Manager, Employee Communications to develop and align communications strategies and messaging with our branding and strategy
  • Write, format, proofread and disseminate a variety of communications
  • Write about technical communications in a way that engages many audiences – both technical and non-technical
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources and subject matter experts to write and create content for internal audience
  • Develop communications plans using multiple channels – newsletters, intranet site, targeted and enterprise emails, digital signage, posters, etc.
  • Engage other MarCom team members to develop dynamic, visually-appealing content (photo, video, graphics, etc.), as needed
  • Manage assigned projects and communication timelines to ensure all campaigns, events and projects are executed on time
  • Incorporate edits and feedback from subject matter experts, MarCom team members, stakeholders, Executives, etc., as appropriate
  • Lead the company podcast for employees:
    • Develop comms plan to kickoff podcast
    • Develop and maintain content calendar
    • Coordinate speakers
    • Write speaking points as needed
    • Coordinate schedules with multimedia team for recording
    • Develop comms plan for episodes
    • Disseminate recordings
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • What You’ll Need
  • BS/BA in a related field plus 3 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Strong writing and editing skills; experience writing for different audiences using different methods of communication

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Adobe InDesign
  • Experience in Aerospace and Defense industry preferred.

Working Conditions

Flexible On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three or more days per work week. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-client locations may be required.
