Projects the candidate will be working on:
- Lead the design, development, testing and documentation of data models, schemas, and related streaming/batch processing data pipelines and business logic.
Major Responsibilities
- Work closely with development and architecture teams to properly engineer effective database solutions that ensure reliability, quality, and scalability.
- Document data inventory and data flow diagrams to determine what can be measured, when and how.
- Perform analysis and end-to-end execution from roadmap to implementation of database consolidations, migrations, conversions, and upgrades.
- Assess and design graph data store to support team/customer requirements.
- Design new data structures using graph elements to meet emerging business needs.
- Lead the design, development, testing and documentation of data models, schemas, and related streaming/batch processing data pipelines and business logics.
- Educate and influence stakeholders to promote an understanding of the environments, increase simplification, risk management, and promote reuse and innovation.
- Lead analysis of business and application requirements to translate into new or modified database or data capabilities.
- Collaborate and participate in application release planning and implementation.
- Work with onshore and offshore database partners to ensure availability, performance, quality, and Service Level Agreement specifications.
- Review and deploy database related application code.
- Maintain database related documentation and standards.
Qualifications
- Lead the design, development, testing and documentation of data models, schemas, and related streaming/batch processing data pipelines and business logic.
- 5 years’ experience with relational databases and Graph databases.
- Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies, and ontologies, as well as the challenges of applying structured techniques.
- Experience carrying out or supporting data migrations and integration including ETL and API development.
- Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture.
- Requires at least 5 plus years of experience with implementations, upgrades, conversions, and consolidation projects with Oracle databases.
- Understanding of the relational/object modeling, knowledge/graph modeling techniques.
- Business domain, data/content, and process understanding.
- Assess and design graph data store to support team/customer requirements.
- 5+ years of experience as a database engineer with experience in planning, designing, developing, and modifying database systems.
- Expert knowledge of Tiger Graph DB.
- Ability to explain advanced concepts to team members, users, and clients.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, system, and data architecture.
- Familiarity with DevOps technologies such as containers and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Healthcare business experience.
