The Enterprise Data and Analytics team maintains the data, tools, and technology platforms to support a full complement of Analytics Solutions. The Sr. DevOps Engineer will support the technology and DevOps pipelines for our Data environment, Reporting tools, and ML/AI solutions. This position will provide DevOps and Cloud Support in a multi-cloud environment but will be primarily focused on Azure.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Technical lead for Design and Build of client's DataOps practice and solutions
- Collaborate with developers to automate build and deploy analytics solutions in Azure using Azure Kubernetes (AKS), Azure DevOps, and ServiceNow.
- Manage security and access and controls
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery in place
- Continually improve DevOps tools, processes and procedures
- Own incidents/issues, provide response to incidents and alerts
- Communicate clearly with team via Teams and Email
- Represent DevOps in collaborating and architectural design with other teams
- Mentor other team members in methods and practices
- Share responsibly for security and access controls
- Share responsibility for Production operations
Key Performance Indicators:
- Automation and streamlining of repetitive tasks
- Uptime of critical systems in production and development environments
- Reliable backup and prompt resolution of system failures
- Cost reductions on a per-customer and per-developer basis
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other relevant work experience
- Minimum 5 years work experience in DevOps role for AWS based SaaS or IoT product
- Cloud management experience with Azure
- Strong expertise & experience in deployment and configuration of Azure services such as App Services, Function Apps, App Gateway, API management.
- Experience in managing Azure Application and Network Security Groups for whitelisting, routing and subnetting.
- Monitoring using Azure Monitoring Rules, Grafana and Custom monitoring & alert scripting.
- Expertise in Microsoft PowerBI, PowerApps, SAS Vaya and Informatica Cloud Services is an added plus.
- Systems troubleshooting, log analysis using Sumo Logic, ELK or similar, and root cause analysis
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
