Position Summary/Job Description:
  • client  is looking for an Active Directory Design Engineer to provide development of services for Microsoft Active Directory, including directory and identity management solutions.
  • Resolves and appropriately completes assigned projects, change requests and acts as an escalation for support issues.
  • Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and determines course of action for new application initiatives. Implements new software solutions as required by the business.
  • The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft Active Directory management, GPO configuration, and top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives dealing with Authentication.
Primary Responsibilities Associated with This Role Are
  •  Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible.
  •  Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for corporate Identity Management environment.
  •  Serves as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application, or system problems.
  •  Serves as the escalation support for domain technology issues.
  •  Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
  •  Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines.
  •  Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
  •  Improve existing processes through automating solutions of recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions.
  •  Manage customer satisfaction through effectively communicating and managing customer expectations
  •  Develops, documents, and enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of Active Directory, and related systems.

  • Candidates must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • The Active Directory Engineer must manage professional relationships, be able to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal situations and be comfortable providing critical analysis to assist decision makers.
Desired Skills Include
  •  Develop documents, and enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of Active Directory, and related systems.
  •  Must show a progressive advancement in responsibility including deep troubleshooting technical skills.
  •  Must understand how to identify and instill industry best practices.
  •  Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users.
  •  Desired experience working in a fast-paced environment with a career track record of engineering, developing, deploying, and maintaining business critical systems, technical expertise including hands on solution development and implementation experience.
  •  Team Player with proven communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills.
  •  The role requires significant interaction with many different teams across a global company.
  •  Must be able to work in a team environment with a can do attitude capable of overcoming difficult challenges.
  •  Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills
  •  Must have excellent writing and communication skills, strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, contractors, and managers.
  •  Able to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner
  •  Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality
  •  Perform an On-Call rotation for escalations as needed
Skills Overview:

  •  6+ years of Active directory experience working in a related discipline such as application development, system administration, or operational support.
  •  4+ years experience of automating work via PowerShell and editing Group Policies.
  •  2+ year experience audit implementing defined processes for Internal and external compliance programs.
