- As a Lead Application Developer, you will drive delivery of digital sales and service solutions for associates in our Food Safety Solutions (FSS) division with the product owners and development teams.
- In your role, you will challenge the status quo to deliver step change improvements in how client's enables our associates to support and serve our customers with new/improved digital offerings.
- This exceptional role requires an individual with a track record of shipping digital services/solutions, experience working with product and engineering teams, experience working with multiple partner teams across geographies, and strong leadership skills to deliver things on time.
- The successful candidate will have a passion for innovating, have strong web development technical expertise, and be comfortable with participating in game-time decision making and be motivated by a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
- The Lead Developer will develop and support system enhancements and applications using multiple technologies.
- Technologies include, but are not limited to C#, Xamarin, .NET Standard, Web API, GIT, SQLite, and Microsoft Azure.
- Design specifications based on business requirements.
- The scalability, robustness, and reliability of all solutions within the application area.
- Defining and following best practices including code review
- Provide guidance and advice to proactively help customers avoid issues, while removing roadblocks.
- Improve product experiences by identifying and working with other colleagues within client to get product features built, processes implemented, and policies changed.
- 8+ years’ experience working in an IT environment
- Experience using Xamarin or UWP in mobile application development
- Experience utilizing REST API from a mobile application
- Experience in using SQLite or another database locally on a mobile device
- Experience working with various design and architectural patterns
- Experience in Agile Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT, GITHub, GitLab, SVN, CVS, etc.
- ZPL programming experience
- Experience utilizing public cloud resources from a mobile application
- Experience connecting to third party hardware using Bluetooth
- Experience submitting mobile apps to Google Play store or Apple
- Ability to troubleshoot problems independently
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
