The UX Researcher / Design Support position is an integral part of the Experience team. This position will collaborate with the UX Team, sales, client experience, developers, and product owners to understand and represent the end-user. They will have knowledge, experience, and skills to produce highly professional deliverables such as: research documents, testing plans, outcome presentations, as well as visual deliverables such as journey maps, personas, wireframes, lo-fi and hi-fi prototypes, and more.  All deliverables are critical in the ongoing effort to better enable product and development teams to improve and evolve solutions for an optimal user experience. They will need to be able to make informed, confident decisions that will help to set the strategy for future products and features

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Employ a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to accomplish our goals, including surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and 1:1 interviews
Recruit research participants from a variety of sources, including existing customers and users, as well as sourcing new participants that match specific product requirements
Conduct research tests in collaboration with Product Managers and UX Designers, moderate stakeholder discussion, and capture all feedback and documentation
Organize all research documents, including subject recordings, testing plans, notes, and outcomes into research archive 
Conduct qualitative research in an end-to-end software development setting, including product discovery with on-going generative research, usability testing on designs and getting feedback on shipped product(s)
Ability to use a variety of research methods, surveys, ideation sessions, ethnographic field research usability evaluation, and diary studies
Design, execute, and communicate impactful research in a fast-paced, earlier stage product development process. Translate findings into low and high-fidelity prototypes for various levels of internal review, stakeholder presentation, and developer hand-off.
Creating sales talk tracks for demos – defining and elaborating on the ‘what’s and why’s’ of the experience.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES  

Ability to help turn business needs into unbiased research questions
Ability to maintain an organized record of feedback
Proven track record of working cross functionally
Deep user empathy and strong communication skills
Portfolio demonstrating ability to design elegant and accessible user experiences for web and mobile
Willingness to learn on the job and take on tasks as needed
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work independently and communicate over the phone with video chat software, such as Zoom, Skype, or Microsoft Teams
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, equivalent years of experience in user research, user experience, client experience, marketing, graphic design, designing software products, B2B B2C technology/service, or a related field
 3+ years of UX research + design experience
Experience conducting mixed-method research (interviews, usability, surveys, etc) and presenting data with informed recommendations to peers and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to create presentable low and high-fidelity prototypes
Experience with UX design software such as Axure, Adobe Creative Suite (XD), Figma, and others
Understanding of front-end web and mobile development capabilities and constraints
