Project Description:
  • Client is in the process of modernizing our HR processes by implementing a new HCM system called Workday.
  • In this role, the Product Manager will work to ensure a seamless transition to Workday from a reporting and analytics perspective.
  • The Product Manager will assist the product team in identifying new or existing reporting needs, coordinate with the report development teams to ensure reports are built to the requirements in Workday, and lead meetings with report stakeholders to guide them in Workday reporting.  
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in Workday reporting, product and/or project management, and strong communication skills. 
  • Product Manager working on the reporting and analytics implementation in Client new HCM system (Workday).
  • Candidate will assist team in gathering report requirements, facilitating meetings between stakeholders and report development teams, and tracking progress of reports. Candidate will also assist in training new users in Workday reporting.
  • The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and a self-starter.
Position Summary/Job Description:
  • Working as a member of the HR Analytics team, the Product Manager works to enable our employees with the reporting and analytical tools that inform, support, and enhance day-to-day HR business processes.
  • The Product Manager works to create reporting and analytics suites that provide our employees and stakeholders with the right data in the right format, which leads them to more informed HR decision-making, new opportunities, and solutions to key business problems.
  • This role drives the implementation of reporting and analytics in Workday, ensuring all stakeholders have a seamless transition to the new HCM system.
Primary Responsibilities Associated with This Role Are
  • Lead development and implementation of HR analytics in Workday. This should manifest itself in a roadmap of initiatives including small enhancement and content refreshments to the existing product as well as new product needs.
  • Drive new product development – create sound business cases around all new products based on needs assessment and projected feasibility. 
  • Incorporate a user/customer centric approach to all development efforts. 
  • Engage appropriate product support teams and developers early in the process to capture full perspective in creating “best fit” products.
  • Communicate product information: including product roadmap, specifications, value proposition, sales tools training tools and competitive information to stakeholders. 
  • Provide status updates to PMO for regular reporting cycles
  • Manage product lifecycles: continually evaluate product performance and key customer insights and ensure new product needs are identified far enough in advance to address needs before product obsolescence.
  • Measure product performance and lead performance improvement initiatives. 
  • Identify and understand the performance drivers and set up ongoing diagnostics and monitoring capabilities.
Non-Technical Skills
  • Candidates must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.  
  • The Product Manager must manage professional relationships, be able to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal situations and be comfortable providing critical analysis to assist decision makers.  
Desired Skills Include
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline.
  • PMP certification – preferred.
  • 2-4 years’ experience managing projects.
  • Experience in managing data or analytics products, or background in reporting.
  • Strong skills in managing a detailed project plan.
  • Excellent follow up to ensure tasks are being delivered according to plan.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
