Role:

  • Work as lead infrastructure engineer on a team of multiple skillsets (1 PM, 3-5 engineers of various specialties such as DBA, Operating System, etc) to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of hosting applications for resiliency to meet performance, stability and disaster recovery requirements from an infrastructure perspective.
  • Understanding of how servers (windows and or linux) are built and operate, load balancing methodologies, security boundaries and firewall requirements, general networking, storage technologies are all required to some degree to be successful in working with SME teams to implement.
  • Great communication skills both oral and verbal to communicate with business, application and technical teams.

Position Overview:

  • Prefer a background in large company simply because our processes and structure of Matrix work can take time to adjust to if you come from a smaller company but not a hard requirement
  • Healthcare background is not critical
  • Looking for someone who has interfaced with application teams and has a strong communication skill to also work with both technical resources and business resources
  • Able to ask the right questions to gather requirements and then translate those into actions (I would consider this almost a technical PM role)
  • Should have a broad technology background as this resource will interface with and submit for work to be done for servers, firewalls, load balancing, dns and storage teams
  • Able to troubleshoot issues and lead troubleshooting calls when needed
  • Available as needed for weekend or nightly change windows

Previous large company experience a plus

  • •B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • •5+ years working with business applications requiring disaster recovery and high availability methodologies
  • •5+ years of IT business architecture experience in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment
