Job Description:
- Candidate would be responsible for identifying, scheduling, and conducting wireless site survey appointments.
- Candidate will engage with on-site personal to do a Wireless site survey or travel as needed to complete the site walk through, taking photos as needed during field visits and gathering the data needed to provide the site survey report into our Database.
- The ideal candidate will also have some experience or exposure in one or more of the following areas: Wireless, route and switch
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scheduling survey appointments
- Requests of floor plans for locations that the site survey will be conducted
- Effectively communicate with key stakeholders both written and verbal
- Compile data collection from the wireless surveys and build report
- Evaluate customer wireless network design and performance
- Interact with Network Engineers and Architects on Wi-Fi projects, solutions, and outcomes of Surveys
- Document and follow up on all activities required and provide timely reports
- Assist in other areas as needed or assigned
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines
- Demonstrates knowledge of data networking, including wireless, switching, routing, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
- Flexible work schedule to support off hour requirements
- Demonstrates a strong customer centric approach and excellent communications skills.
- Supports Company global data network operations support staff worldwide.
- Keeps abreast of industry trends and makes architecture roadmaps and or recommendation based on these trends.
- Willingness to learn
- Required:
- Associate degree in Information Systems, Telecommunication, or other related field – or combination of experience / education.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s in computer science, Computer Engineering, and Telecommunications. Active
- Certifications:
- CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or CCISP.
- 2+ years of Networking experience.
Experience / Training Needed:
- Ability to use Ekahau sidekick and pro software, Cisco Prime, or other Wireless survey tools
- Understanding of 802.11 standards
- Willingness to learn
- Solid working knowledge of Wireless Network Technology
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to interface with colleagues and customers
- 2-5 years network experience with multinational enterprises of 5000+ users. (Preferred)
- 2-5 years Wireless, route/switch Operation, Implementation, or design
- Experience in healthcare related industries is a plus.
Experience with the following products / environments preferred:
- Cisco Routers and Switches
- Cisco/ Viptela SDWAN or SDWAN technologies is a plus
- Check Point Firewalls
- F5 Load Balancer (GTM and LTM)
- Cisco ACI
- Cisco Wireless
