12 month contract role with an expansion opportunity
Hybrid role in: Menlo Park, CA (Will go to the office 2-3 times a week) 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Create test strategy around Video QoE with focus on Cellular/Wi-Fi Network
  • Create test strategy for new algorithms implemented and define success criteria.
  • Create test environments to mimic real world end to end MNO network and validate the same.
  • Create test plans for benchmarking of various video applications.
  • Design, develop, and implement functionality testing for mobile applications (iOS/Android) and the service of mobile
  • applications
  • Help implement test tools and collaborate with automation/performance test teams to build up internal
  • tools/frameworks/platforms to make the team more productive
  • Proactively contribute to and maintain technical and training documentation.
  • Work with internal and external partners, understand their challenges, define and deliver solutions to address challenges.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of end to end Cellular networks and Wi-Fi networks like network architecture and fundamentals.
  • Understanding of video streaming techniques and algorithms like Progressive streaming, Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over
  • HTTP (DASH), Adaptive Bit Rate selection, Bandwidth estimation
  • Understanding of Video QoE metrics like VMAF, Stall, Latency, MOS etc.
  • Have distributed application and Android/iOS fundamental knowledge
  • Understanding of the multimedia stack, including containers, codecs, and AV synchronization
  • Excellent problems solving skills, ability to coordinate with different local and global teams;

Preferred Qualification

  • Knowledge on tools like Spirent Umetrix and Quotent
