Job Description:

  • The Art Director is responsible for the development and direction of visual solutions for Company.
  • This includes leading the design of collateral (marketing materials, product launches, tradeshow graphics, digital applications, etc.), mentoring and directing graphic designers on campaigns and projects, and partnering with copy writer to ideate creative briefs.
  • The Art Director specifies creative detail including brand overview, layout design, and photo and illustration direction.
  • They also manage the Company brand visually, guiding internal and external clients through its nuances.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of graphic design materials that support marketing launches and programs.
  • Lead creative team to deliver on the needs of the business.
  • Work closely with internal clients, creative directors, copy writers, project managers, team graphic designers and external vendors to execute design concepts.
  • Balance multiple projects and clients while ensuring quality, deadlines and budgets are maintained.
  • Ensure accuracy by understanding and applying the master brand guidelines, creative process and internal proofing.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and superb organization skills.
  • Create presentations and effectively present to Leadership and Marketing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Portfolio demonstrating excellence in graphic design, including a strong command of typography, illustration and photography to take campaigns across diverse platforms.
  • Strong strategic leadership with the ability to lead creative team to deliver on the needs of the business.
  • Experience generating creative, innovative ideas in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to understand and work within a corporate branding structure.
  • Understanding and appreciation for the distinction between creative expression and strategic business objectives.

Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years of agency experience in print and digital, with demonstrated leadership.
  • 5+ years of Art Director experience working with teams.
  • Strong acumen of digital trends and emerging technologies.
  • This position requires senior-level creativity, problem-solving and technical expertise.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with particular attention to detail.
  • Mastery using the Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365 applications and project management systems.
