Position description:

- You seek to apply user centered design practices, from research to concept and production design, to help end users achieve their goals, and product teams achieve their business objectives.
- Your empathy extends beyond the user and includes collaborating, mentoring, and sharing knowledge within your team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with stakeholders including UX Leads, Product Owners and Development Managers to identify, prioritize and implement design solutions in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Gathering insights, prototyping concepts and validating solutions with users to inform design decisions
- Conceptualizing and documenting design solutions through an array of deliverables (e.g., sketches, wireframes, workflow diagrams, site maps, prototypes)
- Leveraging and contributing to existing design pattern libraries and interface guidelines
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on information architecture, human computer interaction, interaction design, product design, cognitive psychology, a related field, OR equivalent experience
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in a digital design context
- Demonstrated skill in user experience design or user centered research processes and deliverables
- Experience with industry standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision, Axure, etc.)
- Knowledge of common user centered design activities
- Experience building dashboards and data visualizations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher with a focus on information architecture, human computer interaction, interaction design, product design, cognitive psychology, or related discipline
- Experience with enterprise software and the medical or healthcare domain
- Professional experience working in a highly interactive development team
- Involvement in the UX community (e.g., meet ups, clubs, conferences)
- Proven ability managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of user interaction analytics and measurements
Ideal Background:
- Healthcare experience and knowledge and understanding of engineering technologies are helpful but not required. I prefer my UX designers to have excellent soft skills for collaboration, be flexible with their processes, and move quickly
Top Requirements:
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in a digital design context
- 2+ years—Knowledge of common user centered design activities
- Collaborating with stakeholders including UX Leads, Product Owners and Development Managers to identify, prioritize and implement design solutions in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
Team and Team size:
- They will be joining a large UX team with one lead, six designers, one accessibility engineer, two researchers, and 1 UI copywriter. There are 2 Pos, two dev leads, and typically one scrum team they’ll be working with for the API platform.
