Description:

  • As part of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, this position requires knowledge of Ping Access and Ping Federate.
  • Expert level knowledge of Ping Federate SAML partnership, including configuration, troubleshooting and validation.
  • This position also requires knowledge of Open ID Connect (OIDC) technology and how it is supported through Ping Federate.
  • Knowledge of Threat analysis product like Threat Matrix is plus.

The person is responsible for acting as the functional identity and access management subject matter expert (SME). The SME responsibilities includes following:

  • Analyzing all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommending modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability;
  • Following and enforcing high availability and resiliency standards on existing infrastructure;
  • Assisting in defining standards, guidelines, best practices, metrics and continuous validation of best practices;
  • Planning and executing high availability tests;
  • Uing troubleshooting skills to solve unique and complex problems related to infrastructure;
  • Providing operational support;
  • Managing patching and upgrades of security infrastructure;
  • Conducting application server tuning;
  • Brain storming with the application teams regarding various authentication mechanisms to match the business requirements and architect/implement the solution;
  • Addressing the security vulnerabilities;
  • Having in depth knowledge on the monitoring tools like SiteScope, Splunk and Application Performance Management;
  • Supporting for the Ping Access, Ping Federate, SiteMinder Infrastructure;
  • Using automation tools like CHEF or Ansible to build and expand services as required along with maintaining configuration repository;
  • Participating in the 7X24 on-call rotation team and monitor the supported IAM products.

Ideal Background:

  • Our primary requirement is hands-on experience with the PingAccess and PingFederate products in a large shop.

Experience:

  • 5 yrs experience preferred, large shop, multi-datacenter.
  • Working knowledge of PingIdentity products, specifically PingAccess and PingFederate
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting PingAccess and PingFederate. Experience with product upgrades is a plus.

Team and Team size:

  • Team consists of 8 other engineers, 5 of whom are senior level
