Reports To: Team Lead or Director

About the Role
  • As a Product Designer, you consider the user experience first and support design decisions with best practices and data from usability tests or site metrics.
  • You are a key member of the team, collaborating closely with the very best engineers, designers, product & business leaders, and partners.
  • You are creative and a motivated self-starter with attention to detail and an eye for beautiful, clean user interfaces.
  • You ensure solutions are both feasible and align with business goals and objectives - all while staying abreast to the latest trends and technologies. Collaboration is a key part of our team.
Additionally, you:
  • Create interaction patterns, workflows, wireframes, screens and UI components that improve products
  • Produce high fidelity mockups and provide clear direction for development teams implementing designs into front-end code
  • Contribute to an evolving design system that supports multiple products across client's  brands
  • Help to shape visual design language, tone of voice and product consistency while being mindful of established design patterns across the organization
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, product stakeholders and engineers to develop product requirements and deliver features that meet both business and user needs
  • Transfer the brands strength through the interface of the product
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of all assets for assigned UX tasks and/or projects
  • Possess a sound understanding of current web application development practices, including browser best practices and event handling
  • Conduct user acceptance testing on enhancements to existing systems or participate in acceptance testing on new systems
  • Provide findings on defects or enhancements to product team and development team with recommended solutions to ensure all objectives of the project have been met
  • Validate UX design enhancements and solutions internally by developing and completing usability testing, evaluating analytics and behavioral metrics, and studying user technologies
  • Actively participate in design critiques, stakeholder reviews and customer demos
  • Help improve the way the team works from iteration to iteration
Your Responsibilities:

  • Contributing Member of at least one agile pod responsible for personal deliverables to the team including, but not limited to: Interaction Design, Content Strategy, Visual Design, Usability Evaluation, Accessibility Evaluation, User Research, Competitive Analysis, Testing, and Iteration
  • Product Accountability In addition to your core responsibilities, willing and able to contribute to the product success in any capacity.
  • Practitioner that executes all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
  • Expert that shares expertise and promotes UX principles, methods, and practices; enforces style guide
  • Facilitator that leads the creation and facilitation of workshops, structured brainstorms, or other collaboration exercises.
  • Delivery Manager accountable to deliver tremendous value at a competitive cost.
  • Self-Manager responsible for organizing your own work, goal setting, time management, self-motivation, accountability, personal and professional growth and development, performance management
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI) or equivalent professional experience designing digital products and working with cross-functional teams
  • 4+ years of related work experience in User Centered Design, or similar
  • 2+ years of working in an Agile, fast-paced development environment making use of continuous delivery and test-driven development
  • Deep portfolio that demonstrates extreme attention to detail (pixel-level sensitivity)
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Experience working in design systems
  • Familiarity with Material Design

  • Proven ability to develop superior domain expertise
  • Current understanding of web application development, including browser best practices and event handling and reusable components
  • Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks and methodologies such as React, Angular, Vue.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Jira, Google Analytics, Data Studio, Tag Manager, and Hotjar
  • Emerging experiences - design for emerging technologies, i.e., artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Knowledge of HTML and SASS/CSS, interaction design, user-centered design, and the creative process
  • Proven ability to apply analytical skills to make design recommendations and/or decision based on data
  • Detail-oriented nature with ability to track, organize and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
  • UX design skills including accessibility, responsive design and mobile, mobile, native
  • Organizational, time and project management skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Adaptability and comfort and ambiguity
  • Self-development skills to keep current with fast-changing trends
  • Desire to learn and educate others
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
