What You Will Do:

  • Design, develop and deliver both established and new curriculum of practical, training to new hires individually or in small groups. Provide development training to associates interested in learning and growing. Develop new programs to develop associates and enabling them to be an integral part of our journey towards a high performing organization.
  • Coach, mentor, and prepare new hires to assume responsibilities by utilizing multiple methods to support learning and retention of Plant processes (Safety, quality, etc.) in addition to problem solving, interpersonal skills and client's policies and procedures.
  • Will sit on and may ultimately lead the Training and People Development Pillar as part of the Plant's TPM process.
  • Create an environment that promotes and strengthens client's  diverse and inclusive culture.

Position Details:

  • Position supports over 275 hourly paid associates at the Huntington Plant and warehouse across 3 shifts. Some shift flexibility is required.
  • Works directly with the Plant Production Manager to ensure skills development processes are executed properly and with speed.
  • Requires daily on the floor interaction with associates regarding their learning paths.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preferred - Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Business, Education, etc.)
  • 3 + years experience or significant experience in and industrial manufacturing training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years manufacturing experience, experience training others and knowledge of mixing and packaging operations
  • Highly developed Verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships by developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
  • Ability to develop specific goals and plans to accomplish work goals
  • Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and train/coach/mentor them to improve their knowledge or skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver lesson plans and ensure skills are transferred to the job
