Projects the candidate will be working on:
- This role is to fill in for a Project Manager within the Digital Platform team.
- This team supports initiatives around building the framework, configuration tools and member facing UI components to enable members access to the Digital product lines in a cohesive customized member experience and ultimately provide a one stop shop for a member's employer offered benefits
Ideal Background:
- Ideally the candidate would have healthcare experience. Also, experience running srum teams and working within an Agile environment.
Team and Team size:
- Candidate would be supporting multiple teams. Most teams contain: 1 Product Owner; 1 Tech Lead; 5-8 Engineers, 1 UX.
Top Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed project and delivery plans for projects that span multi departments and cross functional areas
- Lead Scrum teams in using Agile methodology and scrum best practices
- Use industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution
- Build effective relationships and communicate regularly with team members and other stakeholders
- Provide project updates to multiple team members related strategy, progress, and issues/risks along with mitigation strategies
- Work with Tech Leads and Product Owners to complete high level sizing to validate team roadmaps
- Work with team to size stories/requirements building a reliable team velocity that enables the team to build the estimation skillset
- Monitor team progress and make adjustments as needed
Skills/attributes Required
- 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in project management supporting a Product team
- 2+ years of experience with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Familiar with software development concepts to support the technical direction of the team
- Experience in handling multiple scrum teams
Skills/attributes Preferred
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- PMP certification or Certified Scrum Master/SAFe Agilist
- Experience managing Scrum, Kanban or other project types
- Experience with Agile work management tools like JIRA
- Ability to improve productivity through management and recommending changes
- Thrives in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team structures
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with business and technology partners
- Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
- Healthcare experience
